Baystate Partner Greg Meahl named a Platinum Award winner for MassMutual Foundation’s 2021 charitable grants, YMCA of North Shore receives $25,000.
Boston, MA – The YMCA of North Shore has received a $25,000 grant from the MassMutual Foundation as part of its national Community Service Award (CSA) program. The YMCA of North Shore is one of thirty-two organizations to receive an award in 2021. The MassMutual Foundation made the grant in honor of the volunteer efforts of Gregory Meahl, Partner of Baystate Financial in Boston.
“We are stronger when we come together as a community; our Community Service Awards program recognizes MassMutual financial professionals who embody this spirit, working with members of their respective neighborhoods, towns, and cities, helping nonprofits with which they are involved grow and thrive,” said Dennis Duquette, Head of MassMutual Community Responsibility and President of the MassMutual Foundation. “We are proud of the time and energy Greg dedicates to better his community and are delighted to support his great work.”
The YMCA is a cause driven and community centered organization for youth development, for healthy living and for social responsibility. Volunteers work side-by-side to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
Meahl has been with Baystate Financial for eleven years. He is the past President of the Greater Beverly YMCA and has served on the board for ten years, during which time he oversaw a six-million-dollar renovation and expansion of the campus and creation of the annual charity golf tournament.
“I am very pleased that my dedication to the YMCA of North Shore has been recognized by the MassMutual Foundation,” said Greg. “This grant will provide much needed funding to continue supporting our community of over 13,000 members and constituents, and to continue to be a leader and innovator in the community.”
