Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation receives a $10,000 donation from the MassMutual Foundation

Boston, MA November 15, 2023 – Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation, has received a $10,000 donation from the MassMutual Foundation as part of its national Firm Community Service Award (Firm CSA) program, on behalf of Baystate Financial. The program recognizes firms that have gone above and beyond to serve their communities. Donations will be made to six nonprofit organizations totaling $60,000: one $25,000, two $10,000, and three $5,000 on behalf of the selected firms. Firm CSA winners are selected through a competitive application process, based upon a holistic view of the firm’s community engagement strategy and volunteer work with nonprofit organizations.

The MassMutual Foundation made the donation to Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation in honor of the volunteer efforts of Baystate Financial, a firm affiliated with MassMutual led by Dave Porter with locations throughout New England and Florida.

“In a time of challenges and uncertainty, I am moved by the resolute generosity of time and talents displayed by these firms”, says Dennis Duquette, Head of MassMutual Community Responsibility and President of the MassMutual Foundation. “The depth and breadth of their commitment to local, regional, and national nonprofits is exemplary.”

Founded in 1999, the Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting a wide variety of nonprofit organizations designed to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children and their families.

“We are very pleased that our dedication to the Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation has been recognized by the MassMutual Foundation,” said Dave Porter, Managing Partner. “This grant will provide much-needed funding to continue supporting childhood charities throughout our communities”.

The Firm CSA program is just one of the many philanthropic programs sponsored by the MassMutual Foundation. Last year alone, MassMutual and the MassMutual Foundation provided $23 million in charitable contributions throughout the United States.
