Maria Fanelli is the Director of Marketing for PlanWell, Employee Financial. In this role, she leads the development, positioning, and execution of Baystate’s employer financial wellness program, partnering closely with HR and Total Rewards leaders to understand employee demographics, existing benefit offerings, and organizational objectives. Using these insights, Maria designs customized financial education workshops that drive engagement, increase benefit utilization, and support broader workforce goals.

Since joining Baystate, Maria has helped expand PlanWell to more than 200 companies across a wide range of industries. She collaborates with advisors on sales calls and internal training, oversees the development of tailored workshops and marketing materials, and supports operational strategy to ensure a seamless experience for employers, advisors, and employees alike.

She holds a B.S. in Strategic Communication from the University of Colorado Boulder and is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®.

One of Maria’s special interests is volunteering at an equestrian center for people with disabilities.
