About James Marlor Jr.

Since July of 1990, James (Jim) Marlor has been in the insurance and investment industry. Jim began his career as an insurance representative with New England Financial based in Connecticut. In 2003, Jim became the fifth Managing Partner in the firm’s 108-year history, managed up to 83 advisors and staff members throughout New England and is a Past President of the Hartford Association of Insurance and Investment Advisors (HAIFA).

In August of 2017 New England Financial Group merged with Baystate Financial. Currently Jim is responsible for the growth of more than 34 teams. Jim served ten years in active and reserve duty in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. During his spare time, Jim serves as a business mentor for the returning military veterans through American Corporate Partners.

Away from the office, Jim has coached youth football and soccer. He’s a member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, a Capital Campaign Member of the American School for the Deaf and is actively involved in many charities which support military veterans. Jim and his wife Tracy have three sons: Ben, Keith, and Jack.
